What to Expect at a Watercolor/Drawing Workshop Holiday
If you’ve ever thought about joining an arts workshop but weren’t sure what it would be like, here’s a gentle preview of what’s in store.
1. A Welcoming Space
My workshops are designed for all levels, and this is often the case. Most of the time you don’t need to be an expert—just willing to explore and enjoy.
2. Shared Supplies and Guidance
Pre-workshop advice is given with regard to obtaining supplies. Many times, you may even have or could borrow what you need just for the workshop. I always have a few extra bits and pieces to share and demonstrate as well. We will learn how to best use our supplies together!
3. A Mix of Structure and Freedom
The week begins with warm-ups and demonstrations, then we move into more involved exercises to fuel your creativity and foster work that feels like YOU!
4. Encouraging Community
Workshops attract kindred spirits—people who are curious, open-hearted, and supportive. Whether you are a working artist or someone merely drawn to give it a go, we always meet the most amazing people during our workshops.
5. Beautiful Settings
No matter the location or destination, the environment is chosen to spark inspiration and connection to nature and culture alike.
Workshops are more than just learning spaces—they’re invitations to grow your art practice in community.
Join me for a watercolor/travel journal retreat and experience the joy of painting and drawinig in a safe, soulful circle. It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
