It is mid-december.
The holiday season is upon us and around here we are filled with gratitude.
I am 80% funded for next month’s writer-in-residency in Taos, NM and I am thrilled! Thank you so much! I know there are still a few of you who wanted to chip in and may not have had the opportunity in this busy season, so I’ll keep the campaign open for a few more days. Again, thank you.
My family and close circle of friends have lately seen a flurry of passings of loved ones, both expected and unexpected and so our energies have naturally been focused on the lofty process of grieving. Naturally things like fund-raising and holiday planning have taken a back seat in recent weeks. And yet, these losses have served to magnify my gratitude for the people I love, the work I do, the support it’s garnered, and the adventures it’s leading me toward. There is nothing like the death of a loved one to bring focus to what’s important.
And so, a huge thank you for all of your messages of support, your donated dollars and offers of help and leads and ideas. These projects are so much more fun when accomplished with friends to help celebrate, aren’t they?
